10 years ago today I walked down the aisle and said “I do!” to my best friend.
And it’s been awesome ever since!
I mean of course not EVERY single day – but for the most part. LOL!
But really – we work well together.
He’s calm and I’m not.
He’s a morning person and I’d rather sleep in.
He’s the Andy to my April and it just works.
Balance – that’s what it’s all about, right?
Sometimes we’d like to smother each other with a pillow but of course, we don’t, and that’s what marriage is.
Not murdering each other and staying out of jail.
Works for me!
In the last 10 years we’ve dealt with many things;
I’d list them all here but I don’t have the time.
The ups and downs of life hit us hard with family and friends and pandemics.
Some days were harder than others and some days were easier than others but we got through it.
Just like we always do.
Just like we always plan to do.
Because life and marriage isn’t about giving up – it’s about pushing through the hard times, the bad days, and whatever else and coming out the other side happy and healthy and better than the day before.
And we’ve done that well.
And we’ve done that together.
It wasn’t always easy – but who doesn’t love a challenge?
10 years and we’ve got 2 dogs, family, friends, friends that may as well be family, abs from laughing too hard, sadness lines from crying too hard, sore bodies from hugging too hard, and a thousand and one pictures to remember it all.
We’ve got it pretty darn good.
And I can’t wait for 10, 20, 30 + more years.

On October 19th he asked me what day it was.
I said it’s the first day of the rest of our lives.
And I meant it.
xoxo
