Well, August was a good reading month for me!
So I thought I would share the books I read in case you want to read them too.
Let’s begin, shall we?
Don’t Let Her Stay – Nicola Sanders
I give this book a 10/10. I read it in a day because I HAD to know if I was going crazy or if it was them. It’s a good, fast read!

Synopsis –
It seemed only five minutes ago that Richard went to the station to pick up Chloe, and now they were here. I was so excited. Finally, I would meet my stepdaughter for the first time, and Chloe would meet her baby sister Evie.
Richard was over the moon that his daughter wanted to come back into his life. ‘You’ll love her,’ he’d said, beaming. ‘She’s very sweet. She just had a wobble about me marrying again, but that’s over now.’
Well, she was going to find out she had nothing to worry about. I’d been fantasizing non-stop about the two of us becoming close. I had visions of us baking together while Richard was at work, chatting about her boyfriends, her studies, what kind of job she’d like to do…
Anyway, let’s just say things haven’t quite worked out that way.
Whenever we’re alone, Chloe makes it clear that she hates me. But in front of her father, she’s a perfect little angel. Richard says I’m not giving her a chance, but he doesn’t see what I see. I don’t trust Chloe, and I certainly won’t leave her alone with Evie.
Because I know something isn’t right with Chloe, and I will do everything possible to protect my family.
Before it’s too late…
Keep It In The Family – John Marrs
This book was another fast read – but not in a day! LOL It was a little longer than the other book.
But this one I also give a 10/10 because it kept me interested and I wanted to know what the heck was going on.
Plus when you have a chapter and all it says is “fuck” … well I think that’s pretty funny!

Synopsis –
Mia and Finn are busy turning a derelict house into their dream home when Mia unexpectedly falls pregnant. But just when they think the house is ready, Mia discovers a shocking message scored into a skirting board: I WILL SAVE THEM FROM THE ATTIC. Following the clue up into the eaves, the couple make a gruesome discovery: their home was once a real-life murder house, with the evidence still concealed within the four walls.
In the wake of their traumatic discovery, the baby arrives and Mia can’t shake her fixation with the monstrous crimes that happened right above them. Tormented by the terrible things she saw, she is desperate to dig into the past to find answers.
Secrecy shrouds the mystery of the attic, but when shards of a dark truth start to emerge, Mia realizes the danger is terrifyingly present. She is prepared to do anything to protect her family—but will the previous tenants stop her from discovering their secret?
All Her Little Lies – Becca Day
This book was another day read for me.
I thought I was losing my mind! LOL
“is it me, am I the drama?” … that’s how I felt this whole book but I really enjoyed it!
If you’re looking for a fast read that keeps you interested from the jump, then I definitely say read this!. 10/10
