Captiva Island, Florida!

Yes LORD we all know we all need vacations and we finally got one.
Captiva Island, Florida – I had never heard of it before but my Dad and Stepmom have been there before and said ‘hey, we should go!’ and we had our bags packed ASAP.

It was a really nice place – and the island itself was gorgeous.
I keep telling my husband we are going to move there and he just looks at me.
Really just move me to Florida and I’ll be happy.
He still isn’t having it.
One day.

But we were there for 5 days and had a really great time!

We pretty much stayed at the resort most of the time.
It had a beautiful beach – as you can see – and the pool was amazing too.
We left the island to go to another island and search for seashells once and that was really fun!
It’s called Shell Island for a reason – we came home with a ton of good ones!
Not sure what I am going to do with all of them yet, but something.

I think the manatees were my favorite part.
I can’t help it – I love animals.
They floated in the bay area where the yachts were all the time and every single time we walked by there I had to look for them and take a thousand pictures.
Seriously – I think most of the pictures I have from the trip were manatees.
They’re cute! I can’t help it!

Really -besides having to reschedule our flight because of a storm the whole vacation was a success.
We got away and had a great time!
Can’t wait for the next one!
xoxo
