Life, well, it’s a roller coaster.
This last week has been up and down and good and scary and wild.
But of course, there’s always good.
For Christmas last year my Mom got my husband and I tickets to see Roy Kent aka Brett Goldstein at the Fox in STL.
We are HUGE Ted Lasso fans so it was a great gift!

A few days before we were set to leave my grandpa got sick and was admitted to the hospital.
With ups and downs in his health we were very unsure on what we were going to do.
Do we go?
If we go, do we stay the night still or do we cancel the hotel and just drive back?
What.Do.We.Do.
We canceled our hotel one night when we were at the hospital as things were looking scary and we didn’t want to be far away if anyone needed us.
The next morning he was feeling much better, looking better, etc etc.
So, we talked it over again and decided we would go and we WOULD stay the night.
It would still be a fast trip, but at least we didn’t have to drive back late at night AND it gave us a chance to go to the zoo since it had been a long time.
We got a room at the Angad Arts Hotel – which we love – and our room was RED!

I thought I would hate red, but it actually looked really good!
Also, this hotel is RIGHT across from the Fox so, a major perk.

We went to the show, which was AMAZING, and I laughed so much my face hurt when we left.
That means it was great, right?
He was just as funny as we thought he would be.
We went back to the hotel and were both SO tired, we watched Now You See Me 2 and went to sleep.
The next morning we got up early and went to the zoo before we headed home.
We knew if we got there when it opened 1. it would be less crowded and 2. it wouldn’t be as hot.
I’m not trying to sweat to death.
And, as usual, we had a great time.

I took about a billion pictures but those three were the ones I wanted to see the most so, that’s what you’re going to see too! Lol
After the zoo we got a quick meal at Pasta House and headed home!
We got back in time to see my pawpaw at the hospital before we went to pick the dogs up from boarding.
It was a quick trip, but it was a good one.
And very much needed!

And, good news, my grandpa is home from the hospital and on the up and up!
Which is what made us all happy!
xoxo
