Let me tell you something…
Finals week, for anyone at a college campus, is ROUGH.
I thought finals week was hard when I was taking them but now that I am working at a college finals week is STILL rough.
Sometimes I think a little more rough because we are juggling so many people and finals and books and and and and….
I.Am.Exhausted.
Finals week just has so many balls in the air and unexpected things happen (that we should know to expect) but we do not… and it’s tiring!
Thankfully we did make it to Friday, today, and we can breathe easy that it’s over and done we we don’t have to do this for another 6 months.
Hallelujah.
I posted this on Facebook yesterday – which you can follow me here for more – https://www.facebook.com/afdogmom – but I like to be honest when it comes to mental health and self care because you never know who is going to need to hear what you have to say.

But it was true.
Yesterday morning one small thing was the straw that broke the camels back and I was just done… but I cried in the Jeep and my husband got me a soda and things got better as the day went on… but it was a rough start to a long, busy, yet good day.
So no matter how hard finals week was – there are things to be thankful for.
I am happy and healthy and I have a job I enjoy and friends and family and two dogs that love me more than anything.
And of course, a husband that lets me cry in my jeep and tells me everything is going to be okay.
So the finals week blues are over…
Next week is my last week before Christmas Break and I am READY to do nothing for a little bit.
xoxo
