My three favorite things.
Birthdays.
Celebrities.
Chicken Wings.
You really can’t go wrong with any of these, am I right?!
I turned 37 this last weekend and we decided for my birthday we were going to take a trip to Kansas City to go to their Planet City Comicon!
We’ve never been before, but as you have seen from past posts, we do enjoy us a good convention.
This was like the others we’ve been to, 3 days, tons of vendors and celebrities, and sooooooooooo much walking.
Exercise without knowing you’re exercising… my favorite kind.
We had a list of celebrities we HAD to meet and those we WANTED to meet and of course, with long lines and wait times we didn’t get to meet everyone, but we had a great time anyway!

I had an absolute blast!
Meeting Skeet Ulrich was a dream come true for this birthday girl because I did not think I would get to.
His and Matthew Lillard’s lines are so long, but we somehow got lucky and got in Skeet’s line early enough to meet him, chat, and take pictures!
AMAZINGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!
Saturday, we went to the Zoo—the GIANT Zoo—and I had 7,000 steps before we even left the zoo—I think that day, I ended up with 17,000 steps.
I told you, exercising without exercising!
SO.MANY.STEPS.
But that zoo is really good, and they have an aquarium—which I love—so I could have stayed there all day.

At Comic-Con, they had a little Neverending Story photo op place that was AMAZING, so of course, we had to ride Falkor.
WHAT MILLENNIAL WOULDN’T?!

I controlled his head and mouth and I guess I couldn’t do two things at once because I never closed his mouth LOL but I did move his head around a lot like he was flying.
It was awesome.
They also had the rock guy and the Atrax sinking scene but, I didn’t want to be depressed, so we didn’t do that one.
Falkor was the coolest part of this, and every kids DREAM to ride him, so – that was perfect.
Of course I couldn’t not have my favorite thing, chicken wings, on my birthday so we found and took a Lyft to Hooters.
My favorite place of all time and YES I am pretending it’s not going to go bankrupt and away forever because I will be oh so sad.

I mean, just looking at those wings, I want them now.
YUM.
All in all, it was a great trip.
We came.
We saw.
We walked a lot and needed naps.
xoxo
