Steve Martin and Martin Short!

I grew up on comedy.
I grew up watching Saturday Night Live and wishing I could be Gilda Radner when I grew up.
There was something about being funny that I just loved.
I love watching it, I loved (and still love) being funny, and I love(d) how it made people feel.

What is comedy? Comedy is the art of making people laugh without making them puke.

There was just something about laughing so hard your face hurt that I’ve always enjoyed.
And making people laugh was always a plus too.
So when I saw Steve Martin and Martin Short were coming to St. Louis I had to go.

Unfortunately, I didn’t get tickets in time.
Fortunately, my Mom thought it would be a good Christmas gift and got me and my husband tickets.
And it.was.awesome.

The show as at the Fox Theater in St. Louis, right across the street from our hotel.
Which I did on purpose – I refuse to fight that traffic.
If you’ve never been to the Fox Theater you must! It’s GORGEOUS and pictures do NOT d it justice.
We got in, we got drinks, and we got to our seats and I was so excited I couldn’t stand it.

I just love them so much.
I grew up watching them! They’re comedy legends.
How could you not?

The show was amazing.
We laughed so much it hurt.
They came out together, and then did their own things, and then ended the show together as well.
It was wonderful.
It was hilarious.
It was one of the best times I’ve ever had.

If you have wonderful moments, don’t second-guess them, just enjoy them.

We do this thing at the end of all of our trips where we talk about what we enjoyed the most and what we could have done without.
Here’s what we said –

Enjoyed the most: The show and feeding the goats.
Enjoyed the least: The heat.

Eric –
Enjoyed the most: The show and the ferris wheel.
Enjoyed the least: the heat.

We’ll take the heat at the beach but not St. Louis in the Summer.
