We all can agree that vacations are great but the BEST part about vacations is the food.
Hands down.
We went to a few new places and a few places we had been to before – but today I am going to show you where we went, what we ate and what we liked the best!
The Hangout
This was our first meal because YEARS ago when we went to Gulf Shores we loved it and ate there multiple times.
Unfortunately – this time we were not a fan.
We got BBQ Nachos and Fries to share (vacation food is all about ordering big and sharing, right?!) – and we both had Shark Attacks for our drinks.
The fries were really good! The nachos, however, were not great.
They were really, really greasy and the meat was almost watery? I’m not sure LOL but we ate what we could and left the rest.
I am not sure if it was just an off day – because like I said before we loved it a few years ago – but I doubt we go back for the food.
Now the atmosphere is great – but the food, we’re fine.
I’d give it a 3/10.
The Ruby Slipper
EVERYONE LOVES BRUNCH!!!
So when our friends recommended this place we knew we had to go.
And we’re glad we did!
We went on a day we were going to go shop and play around town so we got there pretty early and there was room for us!
Apparently, this place is normally packed because people love it so we knew we’d have to go early.
I got a breakfast sandwich with a side of potatoes and Eric got biscuits and gravy with a side of eggs and bacon and we both got mimosas!
Let me tell you – THAT BACON!!! WAS SOOOO GOOOD!!!
I mean it all was – but for some reason, I was really impressed with their bacon.
I’m not sure how they cooked it but I loved it! LOL
We’d 100% go back – 10/10

Jimmy Buffett’s sister has a restaurant and you think I’m not going?
You’re crazy.
This is another one we’d been to before and LOVED so we knew we had to go back when we were in the area.
And this one held up!
We aren’t seafood people so we didn’t get any of this LOL but we can appreciate seafood people and seafood in general.
I’d just rather each chicken.
I had the buffalo chicken tenders which were AMAZING, Eric had a cheese burger which he also really liked!
Of COURSE, you had to get a margarita – but then for dessert, we had their brownie and ice cream and it was freaking DELICIOUS!!
Just looking at the picture I wish I was back there for that alone.
Delicious.
Amazing.
10/10 from us always.
OSO at Bear Point Harbor
This was actually our favorite meal of the trip until we went to one we will mention later – it was really good!
This was another recommended by friends of ours and it was really good! The atmosphere was really cool too!
This time we got nachos BUT we got Chicken nachos instead of BBQ! LOL
What can I say? We love nachos.
They were REALLY good and the chicken was cooked so well and the cheese was excellent – and the strawberry daiquiri I had that isn’t pictured was tastyyyyyyy!
We will 100% go back here – 10/10
Hurricane Grill and Wings
We found this place driving around and we were like “we like wings!” so we turned on in and went in for some good food!
I got boneless hot and Eric got boneless medium and they were both so good.
BUT THE BEST PART was Eric got these Garlic Parm fries – let me tell y’all… AMAZING!
Our waitress talked him into getting them and we were glad she did!
And then we were like why doesn’t anyone else do this?!
But they were kinda TOO greasy and so maybe that’s why!
But we would definitely return – 9/10!
Big Mike’s Steakhouse
This meal… WOW!!!
IT WAS SO FREAKING GOOD!
This was another recommendation and DANG I am glad we listened.
I wanna go back now and I’m 9 hours away! LOL
The ranch dressing was AMAZING.
The mozzarella sticks were so good, but the main dishes.
DELICIOUS!
Eric got a steak and I got teriyaki chicken – we were SO full but we didn’t want to stop eating.
Everything was perfectly cooked and the flavoring was amazing – my mouth is watering just thinking about it now!
I want to eat here 24/7.
100/10

We got lucky with really good meals – heck our hotel even had great food!
