Readers Gonna Read

That’s right folks – I have been reading like a madwoman lately and I can’t stop.
SO I thought I would come and recommend some books for you to read JUST IN CASE you needed them.
I personally love reading snuggled up with my dogs and by the pool so now’s the perfect time to read!

Where The Crawdads Sing – https://amzn.to/38A77g6

YES I KNOW I am way behind on reading this book but once I started I couldn’t stop!
I HAD TO KNOW WHAT WAS GOING ON!!!
And it did not disappoint!
For years, rumors of the “Marsh Girl” have haunted Barkley Cove, a quiet town on the North Carolina coast. So in late 1969, when handsome Chase Andrews is found dead, the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark, the so-called Marsh Girl. But Kya is not what they say. Sensitive and intelligent, she has survived for years alone in the marsh that she calls home, finding friends in the gulls and lessons in the sand. Then the time comes when she yearns to be touched and loved. When two young men from town become intrigued by her wild beauty, Kya opens herself to a new life—until the unthinkable happens.

The Locked Door – https://amzn.to/384Hzr8

Another book I read really fast because WOW!!!
I did not see the end coming AT ALL and really – I wasn’t right about anything which was nice.
This book has a nice twist you’ll enjoy!
While eleven-year-old Nora Davis was up in her bedroom doing homework, she had no idea her father was killing women in the basemen
Until the day the police arrived at their front door.
Decades later, Nora’s father is spending his life behind bars, and Nora is a successful surgeon with a quiet, solitary existence. Nobody knows her father was a notorious serial killer. And she intends to keep it that way.
Then Nora discovers one of her young female patients has been murdered. In the same unique and horrific manner that her father used to kill his victims.
Somebody knows who Nora is. Somebody wants her to take the fall for this unthinkable crime. But she’s not a killer like her father. The police can’t pin anything on her.
As long as they don’t look in her basement.

The Girl In Cabin 13 – https://amzn.to/381Jflb

WOW WOW WOW!!!
This one was goooood – but I will say I called it pretty quick – but the END was not what I saw coming at all.
There are more of these books in this series and I am definitely going to have to read them!
Knock…Knock…
When Emma finds a dead body on her porch with her name written on the dead man’s hand she uncovers a sinister clue to the mystery that has haunted her since childhood.
FBI agent Emma Griffin is sent undercover to the small sleepy town of Feathered Nest to uncover the truth behind the strings of disappearances that has left the town terrified.
To Emma there is nothing that can lay buried forever. Even though her own childhood has been plagued by deaths and disappearances.
Her mother’s death, her father’s disappearance, and her boyfriend’s disappearance. The only cases that she hasn’t solved.
Her obsession with finding out the truth behind her past was what led her to join the FBI
Now, she must face what may be her biggest case. In Cabin 13 there lies an uneasy feeling. The feeling of her movements being watched.
When a knock on her door revealed a body on her porch and her name written on a piece of paper in the dead man’s hand. Suddenly her worlds collide.
With the past still haunting her, Emma must fight past her own demons to stop the body count from rising.
The woods have secrets. And this idyllic town has dark and murderous ones.
Either she reveals them or risk them claiming her too.
In Feathered Nest, nothing is what it seems.
The Girl in Cabin 13 is about to find out that the dead may have secrets of their own.

A Friend Like That – https://amzn.to/3luqbPq

You guessed it – another one with a twist ending that I never saw coming.
I’m seeing a theme in my reading choices, aren’t you? LOL!
But this one I read so fast because I needed to know if I was right… and guess what… I was not!
You MUST read this!!!
I should wonder why I feel so comfortable with Taylor. Why I’m so enamored with a stranger I met at a bar.I should, but I don’t.
Alice Brewster is at a low point. After being let go from her job at the ritzy Grant Hotel, she’s taken to hiding out at a dingy Manhattan pub just so that she won’t have to tell anyone the shameful truth.
So when blonde, beautiful Taylor waltzes in one sunny afternoon, Alice is ready for the distraction of an unpredictable new friend.
As Alice and Taylor get closer, Alice confesses the real reason she lost her job — a hotel guest, the wealthy real estate mogul Weston Chambers, assaulted her.
But while Alice wants sympathy, Taylor’s rage is white hot. We could kill him, she says.
Alice thinks she’s joking. Of course she’s joking.
But then Weston Chambers turns up dead.
And Taylor is nowhere to be found. Now Alice is the prime suspect in the murder. But can she track down Taylor — and unravel the truth about her new friend’s real motives — before it’s too late?

SO checkout one or all of these books and I will come back when I have read more.
which I am sure will be soon! LOL!
