I learned in therapy that I do not unplug.
I am always worried about myself or other people, mainly others, and I don’t take time for myself to unplug and reset.
It’s one of my biggest things – and I try to do it best I can and work on it more than I do anything because if I am not recharged then I am no good to myself or anyone.
Self–Care Is Not Selfish – It’s Necessary.
When you drink a glass of water and it’s empty what do you do next?
Refill it.
When your phone dies what do you do next?
Charge it.
So why not do the same to you?
When you’re stressed – relax.
Unplug.
Recharge.
Take care of YOU!

There are MANY ways you can do this.
Personally – as my therapist says – I like to do things that take ZERO brain power.
Video games.
Scrolling TikTok or any social media.
Reading.
Listening to podcasts.
Going outside and walking my dogs.
I want to just exist – that’s it.
I like to turn off my brain and recharge myself – because I deserve it.
Just like you deserve it too.

Take care of yourself so you can be there for the ones you love.
You are so important – always remember that.
